Buck Rogers Spaceman Figure + Diecast Spaceship, Both Made In Hungary 1960s (?)

I think the rule of thumb is that anything involving Space Toys of a Soviet Bloc era origin = COOL just by nature. Satellite states even cooler, and this pair of goodies came from a vendor based in Hungary where both were manufactured. Not sure about their ages -- Both described as relating to Buck Rogers as re-concieved by Hungarian toy designers. Roosevelt dime for scale.

No markings. Very basic, simple and sturdy looking.

Had to have it! Keeping an eye on the vendor's stocks for more.

Contrast-enhanced to look at his sculpting straight on. Very different from anything in my stash.

In practice with an older space painting as backdrop. Terrain features are driftwood fragments doused with Golden Paints' Clear Tar Gel, the dome a spray painted gumball machine globe also doused with the CTG, and its base a specimen lid container.

Receiving a helpful tip from an LP Toys copy on the Ogle Shelf, with that sleek craft parked above.
