Fortnite "Battle Royale Collection" Two Inch Figures: Mission Specialist, Dark Voyager, and LEVIATHAN Wicked Cool

First off, I don't play the game, had not heard of it before (sorry, I'm in my early 50s). Had to be told they were based on characters from a game, asked my 13 year old niece if she ever played this game, and she rolled her eyes and laughed at how all the boys would not shut up about Fortnite last year, and that it was soooo stupid.

From which I concluded that it probably rules but just don't have time to get wrapped up in learning a shooter game. Too many blogs to catch up on, art shows to plan, paintings to make. Though I will admit afterwards wanting to re-install the Quake 2 engine shooter SiN, liked that one. And Quake 2. Maybe Doom 2 also if the disc all my gaming stuff was saved on ever reboots ... Been a while. Was the King of the Q2 Grenade Launcher. Bounce one right off the wall into your face.

Became acquainted with these fellows via a "Still Plays With Toys" video upload on RaceGrooves network of YouTube channels. And had to have them, video game derived or no. At two inches they are in step with most of the spaceman figure sizes in my stash and the attention to character detail is inspiring. Retailing at brick/mortar for SRP $5.99 US, online is a crapshoot and the three set me back about $16/shipped. Above are "Mission Specialist" in Space Shuttle orange and "Dark Voyager", and you can see Mr.Grooves' video showing about twenty five other figures from the series by clicking here.

And then there's "Leviathan", whom I perceive of as a water-breather traipsing around in an environment suit filled with aquarium tank water. Dark Voyager and Mission Specialist are excellent, but Leviathan is perfect.

Bubble helmet made of a soft material which does indeed make it look like it is filled with slightly murky water that fish have been breathing.

Rocket Harpoon Bazooka

Shoulder Launched Rocket Harpoon Blunderbuss. That gun rules.

He is absolutely perfect and even more impressive in person. The rest of the series IDK about. Some are offbeat and kooky, some just kind of too cute. I collect spaceman figures not pop culture fads, and these are an excellent modern day updates to the retro scifi playset figure idiom.

Each figure comes with a stand with pegs which fit into holes on the bottom of their feet. And are very heavily armed.

I was frustrated at first by how the 2 figure set with the spacemen only came with one backpack for the two figures. Then realized the long guns have pegs on their sides so they can be hitched on the back Starship Trooper style.

Water circulation system rather than air tanks.

Trying to figure out where the heck an MPC spaceman got a Tommy Gun.

Here's RaceGrooves' video if you'd like to see more of the line ... I do like "The Ace", might have to look one up for the Space Babes stash. Wish her mask came off to reveal a foxy little redhead  <3
