I say females, look at those hips, US quarter for scale. The two more thoroughly painted figures believed to be "originals" made by Gemodels in the UK at some point during the 1960s. The other four are copies vended as "dead stock" cake topper decorations made in either UK or Hong Kong, maybe both? And I noticed that not only are the "vintage" figures somewhat larger but they have more 3d sculpting to their bases. Of additional fascination to me is that all six came from UK based vendors, and that their non-NASA space suits have a Cosmonaut-ish look.
Hit us up in comments if you know otherwise to any of the above! But you're gonna have to trot out original packaging identifying them as male before I believe it.
Middle is vintage. Note swirly color to the plastic.
Vintage on the left, cake topper copy on the right.
Note "swirly" plastic mix to the two vintage compared to the plain waxy plastic of the cake toppers. No markings anywhere other than the "10p", which I presume would have been a flea market price. QUICK! what's that in dollars/cents??
Too bad about the faces on most. Other than that I adore these forms. Gals packing rayguns with hips made for child bearing are a plus.
Luckiest guy on the Space Station. Hit us up in comments if you have further intel on these, I'm a fan and want to learn more.
