Yellow Suited "Combat Commando" Space Soldier by Panosh, Marked #11 / 1987

Very fond of this guy, now ID'd as part of the Panosh "Combat Commando" line of PVC military figures. Softer rubberized plastic or vinyl, hand painted. Badass space gun. Rosevelt Dime for scale.

Articulated at the waist, and I like how "chunky" he looks. Like a Heavy Gravity planet dweller, and the yellow suit could be for hazmat/bioweapons, nuclear or space.

Definitely a 1987 copyright stamp and what I am convinced is an upside down #11. No clue yet what the significance might be.

Yeah he is. Am interested in seeing if he came in other color combos.

Here's a post about the range at a discussion forum dedicated to such figures:

And here's another from the same forum concerning our boy here in particular:

Cheers for the ID help to Instagram follower billjordan_spyvinyl. Now there's a cool feed to follow.

Unkown Armored Spaceman "Made In China" with Ring Hands (?) Take A Look

I may have posted him before: Been wondering for a few months just what this guy is. Obtained in a "Lot" purchase with verified vintage non-space figures. Vestigial ring type hands meant for holding some sort of accouterment suggest an MPC origin but stamped Made In China on bottom. And I like him! Unique figure in my collection. Nothing like him and apparently not a common form as I've looked for months including sifting through Army Man listings.

Armored and wearing something resembling a welder's hood.

Only clue has been a group of silver plastic figures similarly posed from a South American vendor but with no markings on the bottom, softer looking castings with less of the space armor detailing. Postage a bit steep to just have them for the sake of it.

Any insights welcome! Please comment or message via the form to the right.

Marx Toys Six Inch Astronaut Figures + Others by MPC, Archer, Ajax, Glencoe and Unknown

Had all six of the Marx 6"ers as a kid, have now reclaimed two. They're not uncommon and I could bring em all home in one fell swoop, having fun chasing them down one at a time. Toughest nut to crack is the guy with the flag, with flagpole intact. Everyone seems to have damaged examples, holding out for something more pristine.

Same head. They're literal clones, and how weird is that??
